Performance Characteristics - Flow Rate and Head: Centrifugal pumps provide smooth, continuous flow with adjustable capacity. Performance curves indicate the relationship between flow rate, head (pressure), and efficiency. - Viscosity Handling: Best suited for low to medium-viscosity fluids; high-viscosity fluids may require special impellers or positive displacement pumps. - Temperature and Pressure Range: Designed to operate in extreme conditions, with some models handling temperatures up to 400°F (204°C) or higher.
